Application Information

The Advancement leadership Academy accepts applications from January 1 through June 30 for the following year's program.  The final deadline for submitting all materials is June 30, however priority status is given to all materials submitted by April 30.  Applications received by April 15 receive a 5% discount off tuition.  Applications should include a letter of support from their direct supervisor.  

Applicants should:

1. Have evidence of current or previous management and/or leadership experience;
2. Show a career path of increasing levels of responsibility, particularly administrative supervisory responsibility and  professional growth;
3. Demonstrate a propensity for taking on stretch job assignments, serving on institutional committees, boards, and workgroups, and/or taking on additional volunteer or extracurricular professional activities; 
4. Show a commitment to profession by demonstrating thought-leadership, mentoring colleagues and subordinates, volunteering with professional organizations, and/or through scholarly work. 

Nominators should:

1. Articulate nominee’s potential for leadership
   
2. State the nominee’s readiness for assuming higher levels of management and leadership responsibilities
3. Describe how the nominating institution and supervisor will support the nominee’s matriculation through the program
4. Clearly state why the nominee is a strong candidate for the program
