As the premier advancement leadership development program in the country, the Advancement Leadership Academy (ALA) is a year-long intensive, research-based curriculum for current and aspiring advancement leaders. The primary objective of the Advancement Leadership Academy is to help participants improve personal and professional leadership skills and behaviors, and better understand what it takes to become a high performing and effective advancement leader.  

Advancement professionals who attend the ALA are preparing to improve their leadership skills and/or expand their management and leadership roles and responsibilities.  In addition to self-assessments and 360-degree feedback, ALA Fellows will develop a leadership development action plan and career roadmap for themselves and establish a strong foundation for future leadership success.  Through exposure to expert faculty, peer-to-peer mentorship and substantive content, ALA Fellows will leave this program with the knowledge, confidence and support network to succeed and thrive in future leadership positions.    

The Advancement leadership Academy accepts applications from January 1 through June 30 for the following year's program (which begins with a virtual meeting in August and the first onsite session in September/October).  The final deadline for submitting all materials is June 30, however priority status is given to applications submitted by April 15.  Applications received by April 15 receive a 5% discount off tuition.  Applicants should include a letter of support from their direct supervisor.
